There has been many challenging guitars that
have been thrown at Robert, whether it’s a prized Fender with a
broken neck to a classic guitar valued in the thousands, Robert has
always been able to fix and have it sounding not only like new, but
extraordinary. Building his first guitar from scratch at a young age
of 21, he understands the ins and outs of the instrument and has
since built many more. Robert’s custom paint and designs for guitars
has guitarists lined out the door to have the most unique
instruments and entrusts Robert’s creativity. Because of his
abilities and style, he has been dubbed, Robert Hampton, “The DOCTOR
of guitars” by accredited musicians all over Texas. As a child,
Robert quickly realized that music teachers were not teaching in a
style that will encourage and engage the student to continue, which
is why he firmly believes that students should learn material that
they choose to learn.
He understands that each student has their own style and pace and
evaluates them to understand how to teach to their style. There is
not a level he can not teach. His students range from beginners to
advance players.
